Mr. Darker was a sinch once I really thought about it. I mean come on guys, what is Mr. Darker good at? Well besides being side-splittingly funny, he is smart. Not only just smart, but computer smart. I ask him something about MP3 players and he throws stats up on the screen faster than I can name all of Thanos' apperances in comics. And that is fast.

This particular Blue Beetle is not the original. Ted Kord was the second person to take up the Blue Bettle mantle. This one appeals to me more as in relation to Mr. Darker, because Ted Kord was a buisness man. Ted had a company in computers, finance, and nanotechnology. He used his company, much like Bruce Wayne (Batman) did to help him in his fight against crime.

Ted supported the JLA, at one time and the JSA, I believe with his company's advances in technology and mechanics. Many times the JLA was dependant on Ted coming up with new technology to help them in their endevors.

Ted was also just human. He had no super-powers of any kind. He relied on his brain and his technology to help him reach his goals. Most recently, in DC Countdown, Ted revealed a plot called O.M.A.C. It was an unknown project being funded by Kordomniversal (Ted Cord's company) and Waynetech. Someone was using their money to fund this project that no one knew about. It ended up that an old acquantince of Ted's, a Maxwell Lord, had been compiling information on the heroes of the DC Universe. Finding out their secret identites, weakness, strengths, family, companies, and relations to other people. Also that Max had built a satellite called "Brother One" that followed the 5% of metahumans that inhabit Earth. The 5% that made a difference, the ones that were truely powerful enough to have an effect on the Earth.

In Ted's attempt to stop Max and try to warn the others, he was shot and killed by Max. But what he deduced and followed is what made him a step even above Batman, who is called the "worlds greatest detective".

This is what reminds me of Mr. Darker. A person with intellect that will help this world someday. Someone who accomplishes things with his brain and his technology that will forever change the way we see things. I'm telling you, look out Mr. Darker is going to change the world.
